Plant Therapy Workshop

Hosted by In Bloom Horticulture and Nursing the Mind, this 2-hour workshop weaves together principles of self-compassion and plant care to inspire much needed self-care.

Tamara is an experienced horticulturist. She created In Bloom Horticulture to share her knowledge and her passion for plants with her community. She opened The Green Space to better connect with that community and to grow it beyond a retail experience.

Jacqui is a Mental Health Counsellor who believes creating a culture of care is fundamental to improving the health of our community. A fellow plant lover, she enjoys working in both community and private practice and looks to the natural world for wisdom in improving wellbeing. She created Nursing the Mind to provide holistic services that are not readily available in other health settings.

Workshop fees include a plant to take home. 🪴

The blended online courses are adapted from the Standard 2-day Mental Health First Aid Course for adults and provide case-studies, videos and resources tailored to the training you choose. 

Both online courses are well suited to teams with staff and volunteers in different locations, and people who prefer smaller group learning. Equivalent to12 hours of training,  this course has two components - self-directed interactive eLearning (5-7 hours) and  Instructor-led video conferencing (2 x 2.5 hour sessions) via Zoom.
