Jacqui Cousins is a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse and founder of Nursing The Mind. Over the past 25 years, Jacqui has worked in hospitals, education, private practice and community health. She works within a trauma informed framework, with a focus on creating a safe environment for people to share their stories and their struggles. Jacqui’s love of learning includes a Master of Public Health which informs her holistic and person-centred approach and belief that resourcing people is crucial to them living their best life.
Whether you are seeking counselling to deal with a specific problem in your life or need support for a number of presenting issues, Jacqui is experienced to deal with a range of mental health problems including anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, eating problems, identity and trauma, including religious trauma. Jacqui is also experienced in care coordination and mental health recovery planning.
Drawing on her training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and a Religious Trauma certification, Jacqui's approach to counselling is to apply psychological strategies that best meet her client's needs.
Onsite sessions available in Ringwood North. Online sessions via Zoom or Teams with after hours sessions available. Contact us to book an appointment.
Sessions are $120 with payment via cash, direct debit or credit card.
