Nursing The Mind believes education and creating a culture of care are key strategies to improving mental health outcomes in our community. By improving our mental health literacy, we can reduce stigma and create confidence for people to access the health supports they need. We can resource you to support others with tailored programs and Mental Health First Aid.
Nursing The Mind also provides clinical services, see counselling for details.
Jacqui is a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse and Public Health Practitioner with 25 years experience working in private practice, community health, hospitals, education including tertiary environments. A Master of Public Health informs her focus on person-centred care, education, and advocacy.
Jacqui is an experienced Mental Health Clinician and accredited Mental Health First Aid Instructor. Her friendly and engaging communication style supports local business, community and faith organisations to improve their mental health knowledge and work toward psychosocially safer communities.
Nursing The Mind is committed to advocating for improved access and equity in the Mental Health System. Despite Credentialed Mental Health Nurses (CMHNs) being locked out of the Better Access Initiative we continue to provide high quality care for clients through Chronic Disease Management Plans. CMHN's are resourceful and committed, and we will utilise whatever resources are available to support our clients.
Jacqui's commitment to ethical practice informs her advocacy work. She is a member of The Growing Heart Nurse's Collective, which is committed to improving the quality and access to mental health nursing care. See Nursing The Mind's social media pages for more advocacy information.
